TheBoozyGinger's Winter Mezcal Margarita


Non-Alcoholic Cocktail 

2 oz Monday zero alcohol Mezcal

1 oz freshly squeezed orange juice

1 oz lime juice

3/4 oz winter persimmon syrup*

Garnish: smoked salt rim (optional) and persimmon slice

Winter Persimmon Syrup

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

2 persimmons, sliced

1/4 teaspoon cloves

2 cinnamon sticks


Add sugar and water to a saucepan and bring to medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add persimmons, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Simmer for 15 minutes. Allow to cool then strain everything out. Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.
